Jackup of the FutureTM
Transocean's contract oil and gas drilling services are future driven, and that includes our JackUp of the FutureTM design services. This rig is designed to better meet customers' current and future needs for more efficient drilling and completion operations. The three-legged extended-reach cantilever-type jackup drilling unit will be able to operate in water depths up to 425 feet and drill wells as deep as 40,000 feet.
Features include a 2.1-million-pound quad derrick, a high-efficiency automated pipe-handling and a casing conveyance system with extensive drillpipe and casing racking capacity. Other advantages include an efficient dual split mud system, a robust jacking system, an 11kV power generation system with redundant dual engine room configuration and a unique reserve energy storage system (hybrid power) for improved energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
